Rock and beach fishing

In the early morning sunrise, is an excellent choice that can be done along the coast on Anglesey right through to the llyn peninsula. However, once on the rocks be prepared always wear good safety boots for necessary grip on the rocks!
With many tactics to choose from, once you’ve found your mark on the rock; just lob out that big, juicy, soft, back crab out on to the sandy patch close for the bass. However you simply never really know what’s going to come along and swallow your bait. On the other hand if that is not successful, try out your new lure to try and catch those hard fighting; wrasse and pollack. or just chill out with that float you have in your bag. My favourite place to go to is always the “llyn” because you have access to clean, deep waters and it truly is a great place to fish!

North wales beach fishing; with miles and miles of beautiful beaches.Just perfect for bass, ray and tope. People with a passion for fishing like myself, find a west facing storm beach like “llanddwyn island” great for that big, rolling, surf perfect to catch the many bass. During either early morning, or early evening is most likely to leave you going home with a big smile on your face!
Head west to the “llyn” for the bass at “Porth Ceiriad” Which always produce amazing fish!

  1. I see what you mean, very true in title.. it’s a very good place to fish with very deep water but definitely take good boots.
Lots of walkers enjoying the place, lovely scenery, 🎣🐟😆

Belan point

Car parking is to the right hand side of the beach near the end of the road just as you reach the bend. Then walk a one and half mile trek along the dune sand path. Fish between low and high, your better off fishing this venue with a small tide as the current runs hard.
Tope on fish baits some very nice flounders can be had with bass on lug crab and ragworm the best time is about 1 hour after high then fish it down the ebb.

Llŷn Peninsula

The long finger of the llyn peninsula probes deep into the sea. The northern coast is mainly rocky and the bays are small. For excellent bass head to the storm beaches to the west. The rocks hold good sized pollack and wrasse. Big shoals of bass run along the reefs when sand eels and mackerel are around in late summer they patrol the rolling surf beaches
